Important Documents
Nonprofits are required to make their determination letter and annual returns available to the public. We'd publish them anyway — donors deserve to see the paperwork behind the program they support.
The Final Turn is a 501(c)(3) public charity.
The IRS issued our determination letter on September 11, 2026. Our exemption is effective July 13, 2026 — the date we incorporated — so gifts made since then are covered.

What this means for donors: contributions to The Final Turn, Inc. are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law, and we are qualified to receive tax-deductible bequests, devises, transfers and gifts under Sections 2055, 2106 and 2522. Because our exemption is retroactive to July 13, 2026, gifts made since that date are covered. Keep your receipt and consult your own tax advisor about your particular situation.
Service payments made by an owner or trainer for the care of their own horse are not charitable contributions and are not deductible.
Other records
These are part of our public record as they become available. Anything not posted yet can be requested by email and we'll send it.
To request a document, email hello@thefinalturn.org or use our contact page. For more on how we report on care and spending, see Transparency.
Your gift is now tax-deductible.
The paperwork is done. What matters is what it pays for — hay, bedding, farrier visits, veterinary care, and the time these horses need.
